Due to the convenience of deleting unwanted photos and inexpensive media storage, we take a lot more photos than the film era. Today's digital camera puts a lot of stress and loading on the battery, hence the battery grip becomes an essential accessory to most of us. Jenis battery grip uses the same build material as the original manufacture on all its product lines, to ensure a long time trouble free operation with your beloved digital SLR camera. The build quality and ergonomic not only matches the original equipment, there are some added functions on the higher end products that are designed with the professionals in mind. The extra features are not available either from the original equipment or the other battery grip on the market. The S model (Standard) provides the same function/capability as the original equipment. It can take up to two Li-ion battery or 6 to 8 AA batteries (depending on the model) to provide extra power reserved for longer shooting time. Depending on the camera design, some can also increase the continue shooting speed. There is an extra vertical shutter button to provide easy operation when shooting in portrait/vertical position. The control wheel provides the same functions as the original control wheel with easy access when operating in vertical position. The P model (Professional) has all the features in the S model but with some advanced essential functions. There is a clock which not only display time, but also serves as a self-timer or long exposure shutter control that can provide up to 99hr 59min 59sec delay time/B shutter. The SD model (Super Dual Storage) has all the features the P model has except the remote capability, but adds two extra high speed CF slots for people who like to take a lot of photos on a trip. A larger B&W LCD screen is provided to display some of the important shooting information. $100+ down the drain... : Jenis J-ND90-P-B Professional Battery Grip for Nikon D90/D80 (Black)

There are a estimate of problems with this product. If you want the cheapest grip as far as quality is concerned, congratulations you've found it!

Reasons why not to buy:

- The monitor display is cheap plastic. When I received mine it was falling out of the grip itself.
- The instructions included in the box were not for the grip. Nor was it in English,
- While shooting vertically, the grip will pull away from the camera causing the battery to loose it's relationship w/ the camera.
- None of the features except for the clock worked. I tried all thinkable, to get them to work, but nothing.
- One of the two pieces of plastic that hold the batteries in place inside the grip snapped off. This was plainly due to being a cheap plastic, not misuse.
- The lock that keeps the battery door shut, came loose after a few uses. As a consequent of the above issue, I've had batteries fall out of the grip on any occasions.
- The overal look of the grip does Not match the covering of a Nikon body as stated. Therefore it is rather noticeable that there is a grip attached.


If anyone recommends this to you as being a good product, slap them. Please.:)
